- Modern jazz songs with lyrics
- The Little Things AKA Today I Slept a Little Late
This song was originally written during a summer course at Testrup højskole, where I was teaching ensemble. During an afternoon break I sat tinkering at the piano, when suddenly this song lept into my mind. It was inspired by an Iain Ballamy song, that I now can't remember the name of. Later Trinelise Væring wrote the most beautiful lyrics about how to appreciate the little things in life.
The song, with lyrics, has been recorded by Almaz Yebio on her album "Down to Earth". Instrumental versions can be heard on Marilyn Mazur Group's "Tangled Temptations and the Magic Box" and on Jonas Johansen Move's "Move This". 34.2 KB

- In Your Absence melody & chords
This propably is the song I'm most proud of. This haunting ballad with the most beatifully sad lyrics about loss by Trinelise Væring was recorded by Offpise Gurus on the album "Offpiste Gurus". You can also find a version played by Trinelise, The Danish Radio Big Band and me on the "Live Recordings" page and on the "Other bands"-page, you can find a video of Offpiste Gurus and the Lithuanian "Klaipeda Chamber Orchestra" playing it live.

- Come Home To Me.
This is a 2 voice "invension" on the chords of the Cole Porter song "You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To". One voice is simple and inside and the other is very chromatic. As you can hear on the audio example, I like to start off the solos by letting the melody carriers continue improvising together in the language of the composition, so that there isn't a clear change from melody to improvising. I wanted to offer a "language" in which to speak about "You'd Be So NIce To Come Home To".

- Lovely
A laid back bossa on the chords of Lover Man. As you can here in the audio-clip, Jan Allan and I chose to just improvise together on the first two A-sections, and then play the theme from the bridge.
